In what ways does Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) effect your
health & diet?
I'm doing a school project about OCD and the teacher said you need
to bring the topic back to how it effects your health and diet. The
most I know is that some people with OCD need to wash their hands
until they are raw. Also results in Anorexia and Bulima.

so I have been living with my girlfriend now for two years, and she
likes to smoke and drink and she enjoys her food. she has put on
quite a bit of weight, over what I would say is her 'natural build'
but she does carry it well, she is still beautiful BUT its what's
happening to the inside that worries me...since we have been
together, I lived her life, of drinking more often and
smoking,,, and i feel terrible, physically. i think she has just
forgotten what it feels like to feel healthy i lived her life to fit
with her friends, and her, and i enjoyed it, but i feel so bad i
want her now to live my life, and remember what its like to feel
good i don't want her to quit drinking for the rest of her life, that
would be changing her, just limiting it for a period, that's just
helping i feel but she isn't interested. well she says she is, and
promises to be better, but she cant do it, she'll always find the
first excuse to drink she can. she says 'ok, i wont drink for a
month' but then as soon as she receives contact from a friend she'll
say 'drinks soon?' without even thinking I take it personally
because the being healthy means a lot to me. its got some personal
connotations for me, and its a big deal for me. but she doesn't care.
she said she'd take a bullet for me, but then she wont do this? she
says she loves me more than anything, but this is tearing us apart,
and she still doesn't do anything she says 'well, you start doing it,
and i will follow' then i start, and she doesn't follow, and then
she'll think of something else like 'well i just need to wait until
we move house so I am settled' then we move house and she still doesn't
do it, so she'll think of something else. i always wait and hope
she'll finally do it, but she always lets me down...All i want to do
is help her remember and see the feelings of being healthy again,
because people forget what it feels like. they get so used to a bad
lifestyle they think they are fine, then after getting healthy again
think 'how did i live like that and feel so awful for so long' i see
it as a gift to give. and not only that, its a personal subject for
me, and every time she doesn't care or fails its like a massive
middle finger to me. she knows how personal it is to me too, and
knows how much it means to me, and knows that if she doesn't the
relationship will start to break in places, but she doesn't care...

I am 5 foot 9 inches tall, and I weigh 185 pounds. I am a
15 year old male. I continually tell my doctor I am
concerned, and he tells me that there is nothing to be
worried about at my size..I'm a pretty popular person in
school, and I dont get picked on unless its a joke. But
still, my self esteem is VERY low. I dont have much of a
tolerance for my weight at all. Although my will power is
very high, I seem to get bigger and bigger. I think my
problem is the computer. By no means am I a " nerd" . I
talk to my friends all day on AIM or YIM. I need some
advice.Basically I have 3 meals a day, but a bunch of UN
NEEDED snacks all day in between. These meals are, a bowl
of cereal in the morning, something small for lunch, mac
and cheese, or a hotdog, or a lunchable. Then at night
some kind of meat, vegetable, and potatoe. If I get out,
do daily walks, sit ups, cut completly back on snacks, and
so on will I make some progression even with these 3 meals
a day? Help please Thanks.
